A walk in the woods
We went for a walk in the woods. The creek was all dried up. I went farther up from the others and I saw a humongous (I think 20") long black snake with no other markings. I screamed and ran to mom. I thought the snake was following me because my feet were making other rustling noises. It was really scary!

Heather, You silly girl- scaring yourself. That snake was fleeing back to HIS mama afraid you were chasing him:). It really looks dry out there. Did you hear any insects singing? They tell me fall is coming! Love, Mrs. Sattler
