My dress

I made this dress today. MarMar gave me some material when we visited her last night and this morning I cut arm and head holes and made this dress. I like it because it flows behind me like a cape. I think I look pretty!

Ha ha ha! Sounds funny dosn't it. I have this folder thing on my laptop i write and show my friends the letter i wrote them! It is fun to do it! ( My bissness!)

Great Fun at MarMar and Pa's

I loved the pancakes we had for breakfast on Saturday. Thursday after supper we watched Dreamer and had trail mix and popcorn. I loved it! When mom and dad came to get us we were watching Chicken Little. It was great. We went to the park on Friday after supper because it was only 5 when we ate. I was very thankful for all of the food, it was delicious! We went to the coffee shop on Thursday when we arrived, we had a strawberry smoothie drink - it was yummy!

Heather's costume for the play. The large blouse has elastic in the neck and sleeves. The vest took a good bit of customizing since it was a woman's pattern and too large in the bust and too small in the waist so we added a panel on each side and it fits pretty well. It has grommets on the front and ribbon criss-crossed through them. The underskirt was very easy, bought some of the ready-made material at Wal-Mart that had lace panels and was already hemmed with elastic at the top - simply had to sew one seam! The top skirt is just two panels with a split in the front. It also has grommets in the waistband and ribbon through and tied in front. We need to add a snap or hook and eye to make the waist more secure.

I love my dress! Sometimes I imagine that I trip and fall during my play because it is so long. But it won't really happen - I hope! It's a very pretty dress. I am so excited for my play!

I did it all by myself!

I sewed my pink bear Josephina a orange dress with flowers on it. First mommy taught me how to cut out a pattern, then I stitched the front and back together inside out! Then I sewed the sleeves together inside out. Then I turned the sleeves to the right side and stitched the sleeve on around the armhole. When I turned the dress right side out I was surprised that I didn't see any of the stitches, they were all on the inside of the dress. I loved it! I didn't like it when I saw the stitches on my other projects, now I know how to make them not show. Mommy also taught me how to backstitch so that it all holds together better.

Answered prayer

Yesterday I couldn't find my needle and I prayed and God helped me find it!

My rug

MarMar gave me the idea to make a rug. First I finger crocheted four long pieces of yarn, next I put glue on paper and then I put the strings on the glue. It was a gluey mess! When it was dry I put it by Josie's bed and she liked it.

Trip to WV

I had lots of fun in WV. I played checkers with Pa. I held Eoin. I played with dolls. That's about it! It was great!

Look what I found!

Its a nuthach! I learned about them in science and today I disovered one running down our tree in the front yard. (Its great!) I have never seen one here before in VA!

My best friend

I have a friend named Audrey. She is the bestest friend i ever had she is really nice to me. She even likes Judah!!!

My dolls

I love to play with dolls. The doll I like to play with the most is Judah. He looks like a newborn baby he is soooo cute. He is the doll wrapped in the blue blanket.

They are all named Josie, Judah, Julia, Dermot and Josefina is the teddy bear.

My hobby is piano

I take piano lessons. I like them kinda, but it is fun. I like to practice at home better because I get to play what I like. My favorite piano piece is "Good King Wenceslas" and "Chimes". I also like "Fairest Lord Jesus" and "How I Survey the Wondrous Cross". Here is a picture of me practicing "Chimes".

My painting

I like to paint. I am going to be Raya and I will be painting a picture of birds, I think it will be fun painting them! I want to paint a picture of my favorite teddy bear, Josefina. She has a pink bow and she is pink. I painted the birdhouse and I painted the tracings. I got a water color pencil collection. First I used a brown colored pencil to color the birdhouse and then I used a pink and red to color the flowers and green for the grass. Next I got water on my paintbrush and spread it on the colored parts and it made it look softer and darker like paint instead of colored pencil. I am excited!
